Who should apply?

The Revolent Cloud Engineer Program is for experienced IT professionals who want to cross train into AWS.

Cloud Engineers are all-rounders, with a passion for designing elegant solutions in AWS.

Your communication skills will also be key in this role, as you’ll often work with end clients to create solutions that solve their problems.

You should also have a cost-conscious approach to your work and good organizational skills, as you’ll have to prove solutions you suggest are the best possible approach, within a given budget.

We welcome graduates from IT or Computer Science degrees (particularly those relating to cover networking and compute concepts) and tech professionals with two to three years’ experience in managing servers, storage arrays, networking services, databases, or professionals who have worked in a service desk environment supporting infrastructure services and end user support.

The best candidates for this program will already have a basic appreciation of core infrastructure technologies, such as compute, storage, and networking services. This will help you to quickly grasp the cloud concepts taught in your initial training.

Experience in the following is advantageous but not essential: virtualization technologies, server and desktop engineering, storage, networking, and infrastructure support.
