Akasia Perran

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant

I’m currently working at a platinum Salesforce consulting partner in a client-facing role as a Techno Functional Consultant/Business Analyst. During my time at Revolent I have also helped to design the curriculum for the Marketing Cloud Admin certification and created all of the Advanced Marketing Consulting tasks that our Marketing Cloud Revols have available for further education.

My background is as a Systems Engineer, Business Analyst, Marketing Strategist, Business Consultant, online course designer and trainer, sales and webinar expert, and cat wrangler! What all of these professions have in common is problem solving something I love doing and consider  my speciality.

Marissa Cookson

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant

I’m currently working with an enterprise client to migrate their existing marketing functions from Responsys (B2C) and Marketo (B2B) to SFMC. My responsibilities include:

  • Requirements gathering across company divisions
  • SFMC account configuration
  • Developed IP warming strategy with goal to send 1 million newsletters a week, across 5 verticals
  • Building data-driven, highly personalised emails with AMPscript and modular Content Blocks
  • Creating multi-step customer flows in Journey Builder
  • SFMC campaign QA testing and reporting

I’ve worked in technical roles across Digital and Marketing Technology in the Marketing & Advertising industry for over a decade. Prior to joining Revolent I completed the RMIT Salesforce Administrator short course, and worked on a commercial Sales Cloud build.

In my previous role as a Senior Marketing Technology Specialist, I provided day-to-day project management, campaign execution and quality assurance for clients on Marketo.

Salesforce Developer

I am a Techno-Functional consultant at Revolent and have recently completed an assignment with a Salesforce Partner. I was working on 2 projects, the first was a Field Service Lightning project where I helped configure service territories for a retail chain. On the other project I was a business analyst, here I helped one of the largest sporting organizations in Australia to overcome the challenges of a safe return to crowds in a COVID world. On this assignment, I was therefore able to leverage both my technical and business orientated Salesforce skills.

Salesforce Developer

I’m currently with a Not-for-Profit organisation working on their organisation’s extension of Asset Register where I do the following:
  • Create new custom object and update existing ones.
  • Update and create Permission Sets and Permission Sets Groups
  • Update the Sharing Settings
  • Create Reports

I have over 10 years of experience in IT and have worked with different organisations. In my previous role I worked as a Senior Consultant for a consultancy and worked on multiple client projects within various industries. My role included Production Support Lead, Business Analyst and Application Developer. The majority of what I did is development doing back-end application using .Net which was my primary skill. I also have experiences in other stacks such as ReactJS, HTML, CSS, SQL, PowerShell, and SharePoint.

Salesforce Industries Developer

I am currently a Salesforce Developer here at Revolent. Since joining I have worked on 2 large Salesforce projects which included Data Migration/Integration, Security settings, Project deployment Requirements gathering & Copado Click Deploy for clients.

Before joining Revolent, I was working in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence industry. I worked on development projects; applications ranging from diagnostics & app optimization for developers, to service-aware dashboards and genetic algorithms.

I already had 3 years+ with JavaScript and 2 years+ with node.js, I also gained fundamental experience with Heroku, having prepared, and deployed a demoed an app.

Salesforce Project Manager & Salesforce Developer

Whilst working at Revolent I have been a Salesforce Project Manager for several Revols for Good projects, using my Salesforce Skills to give back to the wider community. I have been taking a Scrum methodology approach along side mentoring 2 Assistant Project Leads.

Before becoming a Salesforce Developer at Revolent, I worked for over 20 years within the software development industry. I have worked with a few different technologies and languages such as Oracle, JS, HTML and CSS mainly as a Software Developer but has also held Project Manager, Scrum Master and Development Team Leader positions.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant

I am working as a Marketing Cloud Consultant at a professional sports body. Currently my roles includes developing a Salesforce Marketing Cloud automation journey, which includes loading the contact data from Salesforce CRM to feed into  triggered email journeys to enhance engagement.

Previously, I was a technical support engineer for Salesforce specialising in MobileConnect, MobilePush and GroupConnect components of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. All in all, I have 3.5 years of experience in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem.

Before Salesforce, I was in a technical support role for BMC Software and Oracle. I specialised in BMC Discovery, Oracle Applications, CRM, Middleware and Databases.

Salesforce Consultant

I have worked with 5 different Revolent clients as part of their Salesforce teams, most  recently in an agile project team of considerable size within a FTSE 250 Company.  

My day to day tasks included maintenance and governance of the Salesforce Sales cloud platform as well as the Pardot Email Marketing Service, following GDPR acceptable practices and using Pardot emailing lists in which I was the sole administrator. 

I have been tasked to provide working “proof of concepts” which involved the plethora of declarative tools Salesforce provides (process builder, workflow, Flow Builder) and utilised code to fulfil requirements (Apex). Following established change management protocols, I have taken part in the building and oversaw the completion of several projects. 

2 years’ experience within the Salesforce ecosystem. Responsibilities included consulting clients on bespoke Configurations, system audits, leasing with product owners and executive management teams.

Salesforce Developer at Revolent Group

Since joining Revolent. I became 5x Salesforce Certified. I had undergone industrial standard Salesforce training. Tips and best practices shared by the trainers are of great help while working on projects. I’m really happy to share that I completed my Platform development 2 certifications on the first try. Thanks to Revolent for believing in me and guiding me in the right direction. PD2 Certification gave me the confidence to handle salesforce development tasks with ease. Currently, I’m working with one of the Revolent’s client providing software service to the healthcare sector. The project provides lot of scope for learning Salesforce and Vlocity development. I enjoy being challenged.
After completing my Masters in Software Engineering, I started my career as Technical Consultant specialized in supporting banking application. I was passionate about Java Programing and went on to complete by Java Programmer Certification. My strong knowledge in Java helped me to explore Android programming. I worked as Android developer for few months. Over the last few years, I was continuously working on updating my skillset in Salesforce Administration and Development. I volunteered for a non-profit organization as a Salesforce Developer. I came to know about the opportunities at Revolent through a referral.

I’m currently working with a boutique global Salesforce partner as a Business Analyst for SFDC Managed Services and Delivery. I am in a client-facing role on projects where I have supported:

  • Analyzing data and drawing business insights based on understanding current business processes, documenting processes in development, and evaluating the data to provide insights back to the business delivered through business presentations and developing/providing analysis collateral for key stakeholders.
  • Facilitating business solutions to keep SFDC projects on track/moving toward the end business goal. Making quick actionable recommendations based on data findings, solving issues during testing, creating best technical/functional solution for the org based on project requirements, and creating user training materials/collateral where needed.
  • Working with and guiding the business and IT stakeholders throughout an SAP Integration project. Elicited and documented requirements to develop and define project roadmap with the team as a part of managing/analyzing requirements and gaps to fill RE the integration/technical implementation.
    SAP integration included Bi-directional mapping collateral between SAP and SFDC, leading working sessions with the developers/architects on both SAP/SFDC sides, UI development, Business facing demos, declarative modifications and prototype development.
Before joining Revolent I was a Full Stack JavaScript Web Developmer, I learned how to build web apps using Microsoft’s ASP.NET MVC/Entity Frameworks and AngularJS. Acquired skills to program using C#, build database-driven web apps and create richly interactive client-side apps using the AngularJS library. Prior to working in IT, I worked in Tech Law as legal support for AWS Hardware Engineering and cross-functional teams.

I am a Trailhead Ranger and hold over 200 badges. Day to day, my work for Revolent’s clients includes: 

  • Working with Salesforce Einstein, creating and configuring numerous Datasets and recipes
  • Configuring reports to run independently within Einstein Analytics 
  • Creating various classes and triggers using APEX code 
  • Writing Unit Test

I have 2 years of prior IT industry  experience in front  end  web  development with a strong focus in Vue.js, Nuxt.js  programming. I also have experience with Apex, Visualforce, data modeling, testing, declarative and Einstein Analytics.

Salesforce Industries Developer

Dring my time at Revolent I have worked on various big client projects. Recently I have been working totransition client facing tools from the Vlocity/OmniStudio platform to Lightning Web Components. My responsibilities include:

  • Analysing existing Vlocity application in-depth and provided insight of functionality to those unfamiliar with the platform.
  • Diagnosing how best to translate and enhance functionality when building the consequent Lightning Web Component.
  • Building Lightning Web Components to match and exceed previous functionality contained in Vlocity.
  • Assisting in the process of merging 2 Salesforce orgs during a company merger.
  • C reated Apex classes, Process Builders and Workflows to assist with automation of desired functionality.

Previously I worked as a Software Test Engineer. I was consulting for Energy Service and Finance companies and  performed all their manual and automated testing.
