Creating a Salesforce practice that withstands 150% YoY growth
DXC Technology
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, many organizations turned to DXC Practice for Salesforce for support on their Salesforce digital transformation projects, to meet the demands of a rapidly changing customer landscape.
As client demand for Salesforce-related programs of work increased, DXC found that finding skilled and competent talent at scale—all within an increasingly candidate-scarce market—was proving difficult.
With traditional recruitment methods being challenged in a competitive talent market, DXC started using short-term hires to fill their demand gap. However, asDXC Practice for Salesforce was also experiencing a 150% growth in business YoY, the high contractor day rates needed to meet this demand were becoming increasingly unsustainable.
Seeking a more sustainable and cost-effective approach, DXC partnered with Revolent to build a robust talent pipeline of mid-tier Salesforce talent, individuals who could hit the ground running on current projects and support the growth of DXC Practice for Salesforce.
Alongside this, DXC was keen to promote greater team diversity within their Salesforce practice and—more specifically—wanted to attract and support more women in tech.
A cost-effective and sustainable solution that scaled with demand
DXC reached out to Revolent, looking for a solution to both their current and long-term Salesforce talent needs. Through our tailored workforce planning solution, we delivered:
A cost-effective and sustainable solution that scaled with demand
To help support their talent pipeline in the short term, Revolent curated a career program with tailored modules that were specifically designed to meet DXC’s business needs. DXC and Revolent then continually tailored the program to meet future business demand and developed their own unique IP, one that complemented and fast-tracked the process of getting consultants market ready.
Delivery-ready Salesforce talent
The delivery-ready Salesforce talent (or Revols) that DXC received from Revolent had previous experience in comparable technology stacks. They were given additional Salesforce training and certifications by Revolent and were provided with consultancy skills training.
This meant they were able to hit the ground running with business-critical projects. It also freed up DXC’s existing more senior Salesforce team members, allowing them to focus on client requirements and effectively scale their Salesforce practice, rather than dealing with constant hiring and training due to high labor demands.
A solution that solved DXC’s current and long-term talent needs
The Revols were placed at DXC by Revolent for two years, thus guaranteeing talent retention for that period. And with the options to convert Revols to full-time employees (at no extra cost) DXC could be confident they would be able to meet future demands for their services.
The results of our partnership
Scale their Practice for Salesforce
From initially reaching out to Revolent, to having their first three Revols placed on site in under six weeks, DXC has now onboarded three tailored cohorts of talent, with more to come.
Improve their gender diversity
To date, nearly 60% of these Revols have been female – aligning with DXC’s goal to attract & support more women in tech and to continue to foster a diverse culture, with a range of experience, backgrounds, and people among their ranks.
Rely on a long-term partnership that delivers a sustainable Salesforce talent pipeline
DXC now see Revolent as part of their long-term scaled talent sourcing strategy and has invested in the program to strengthen key delivery channels in the business. With the early wins, an evolving approach, and increased build-out of IP for this channel, the future looks promising for both companies.
