You don’t need any prior experience with AWS to cross-train with us. Our two-year career program will equip you with the technical skills and consulting know-how you’ll need to start a fantastic new career as an AWS Data Specialist. It includes: 

We offer two specialist tracks within the AWS Data Specialist route:

AWS Data Engineer

You’ll cover a wide range of AWS services, as well as Application Integration, Serverless Architecture, Deployment Strategies, CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications, and have an introduction to DevOps. You’ll study advanced data management and storage concepts, how to implement machine learning algorithms, containerized solutions and HPC architectures. You’ll also learn how to design online transactional processing (OLTP) database solutions. 

Role and responsibilities

The day-to-day responsibilities of an AWS Data Engineer can include: 

AWS Data Engineers are compensated well for their knowledge, skills, and experience, with some amazing salary packages. In the US, AWS Data Engineers can expect to earn between $100,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Freelancers and contractors can expect to earn $130 per hour.

The career progression opportunities for AWS Data Engineers are just as lucrative as their starting salaries. Once you’re fully certified and have a couple of years of work experience under your belt, you could look to progress as Senior Data/ML Engineer, leading to Lead Data Engineer, Head of Data Engineering, or even Chief Data Officer.

Over two years, we’ll fund and support you to earn the following certifications:

AWS Cloud Data Architect

AWS Cloud Data Architects help organizations to sort and store their data in an accessible way. They:

Part of a growing field within AWS, Data Solutions Architects can command some of the most lucrative salaries in the cloud. In the US, the starting salary for qualified AWS Data Solutions Architects is $150,000, rising to a whopping $200,000 in a senior role. Freelancers and contractors can expect to earn $150 per hour.

With the skills and knowledge of Big Data management, combined with experience working as an AWS Cloud Data Architect, you could also become an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect. Further down the line and with more experience, you could look to progress into highly senior roles, such as Chief Data Officer.

Support and Development at Revolent

We’ll support you throughout your time with us, and beyond. You’ll have an assigned Development Coach who will guide you as you navigate your new career in the cloud. Whilst you’re working on a client site, we’ll conduct regular check-in sessions to make sure you’re fully supported. We’ll also help you gain extra certifications, as and when needed.
