Kiril Kirilov

AWS Solutions Architect

I help in the design, development, and delivery of cloud solutions for one of the world’s largest accounting firms, both internally and for customers. I find working with cloud fascinating because of how agile and versatile the technology is and how it enables businesses to grow at scale. I chose to specialize in AWS as they were the pioneer in the public cloud services, and they have been holding the title of a leader in the industry for over 15 years.

For the past six years I have worked as an engineer across various industries. Beginning as a Project and Support Engineer, where I commissioned broadcast automation systems and managed technical incidents through tickets. I then transitioned into a Digital Operations Engineer role where I maintained the online presence of the company’s web services. Eventually I became a Corporate Engineer, working my way up to Senior IT Resident at the company.

AWS Solutions Architect

Currently I am working as an AWS Solutions Architect — I help companies before and during their AWS Cloud journey to leverage the services in the AWS cloud. I create solutions specific to their environments to address their business and technical problems. 

I come from a business background with an MBA in Business Administration. I love taking on new challenges — for a long time, it had seemed as if the tech field was dominated by men. I ended up diving into the tech space myself by learning at my own pace at home. Over time, I adjusted to new concepts and the learning possibilities have been endless. This has motivated me to keep working towards my dreams to establish myself in the cloud ecosystem.
