Why cross-train as a Data Engineer?
Even the best generative AI tools and machine learning models cannot operate without clean, governed, and comprehensive data sets, which makes Data Engineers critical to business operations.
But to succeed in this fast-moving field, you need to be familiar with a range of data platforms and tools, and be able to adapt as technology advances.
While the focus of our training program is on leading technologies like Snowflake, dbt and FiveTran, we’ll also equip you with an understanding of data movement, data engineering patterns, data technology, and AI-ready data practices, so you can be proficient and productive as a Data Engineer in any technology environment.
What does a Data Engineer do?
Data Engineers are at the heart of modern data strategy, helping organizations turn trusted data into better insights, stronger analytics, and more reliable AI and machine learning outcomes.
Although there are different specialisms within this role, Data Engineers typically design and build systems for collecting, storing, preparing, and analyzing data at scale, including the data pipelines that support machine learning and generative AI use cases.
As such, they work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, understanding their organization’s key objectives, ensuring that large and complex data sets are aligned to support these, and making data-driven insights more accessible to its employees.

Entry requirements:
Although you don’t need any prior experience with cloud data platforms to apply, you do need to meet the following requirements to be considered for this program:
1+ years of basic programming knowledge
(Python preferred)
Familiarity with version control tools (Git preferred)
Basic SQL knowledge
What happens after you complete the program?
Once you’ve completed our training program, you’ll be an experienced, certified, and well-rounded Data Engineer, with the foundation to support data, machine learning, and AI-driven projects. From here, the sky’s the limit!
