Microsoft x Revolent Events in London and NYC

In collaboration with Microsoft, we hosted two events this summer for Microsoft Partners to get to know our Microsoft-certified Revols while having some after-work fun with immersive gaming and bowling.

Microsoft x Revolent: London event

We invited some of our Microsoft Revols down to our London office, where they got to meet the Partners they’ll be working with after finishing their training with us. For many, this was also the first time meeting their cohort in person, and they were able to share tips and advice as they embark on the next stage of their cloud journey.

After a day of networking and teambuilding activities, we wound down with some immersive gaming at TOCA Social, the world’s first interactive football and dining experience within the amazing O2 building. Our Revols had the chance to network with more than 20 Partners from the Microsoft ecosystem, shake hands with Microsoft representatives, and learn more about the amazing career opportunities within Microsoft Cloud in a relaxed and informal setting.

We were pleased to read comments from our Revols after the event who said they felt like they belonged to a growing community and were pleased to be able to connect with the Partners on a personal level, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on their upcoming work placement. Here’s what some of our guests had to say.

“It’s incredible seeing the level of acceleration as customers move to the cloud. What that means is—we need to be able to keep up to speed with providing those services to our customers. And the challenge we have is we don’t necessarily have that talent already in the ecosystem. What we’re looking for is new creative ways to attract people to join the Partner ecosystem and work on Microsoft technologies.”

Angela Evans
Partner Business and Development Lead, Microsoft

“One of the biggest challenges that we face today is finding new talent for our Partner ecosystem, and Partners like Revolent are doing an amazing job in finding a diverse group of talented individuals to help us alleviate some of those capacity challenges that we have in the channel.”

Gina Timm
Partner Marketing Strategy Lead, Microsoft

“If you’re just starting your talent career in the cloud, I would say that the opportunities are massive. The demand is huge here in the UK and globally. It’s definitely a sector that’s almost recession-proof, and I think there’s great opportunities nowadays through apprenticeships to allow people to get re-skilled and bring people into the tech sector that we need desperately to bring a diverse opinion, to bring different perspectives, and also to bring life experience into our sector and help Microsoft and our Partners to deliver the best for our customers.”

Rob Smithson
Business Group Lead, Microsoft

Microsoft x Revolent: NYC event

After the success of the London event, we went on to co-host another ‘meet-and-greet’ at Frames Bowling Lounge, an interactive experience in the heart of Midtown NYC. The purpose of this event was to help Partners learn more about the Revolent careers program and business model, and meet some of our Microsoft consultants available for placement to help build their talent pipelines. Throughout the evening, Partners had the opportunity to connect with Revolent and Microsoft, chat to our Microsoft-certified Revols, and network with other Microsoft Partners in a relaxed setting while sharing great food, drinks, and having some after-work fun!

We can’t wait to see what our Revols and Partners go on to achieve together!
