Partnering to create
delivery-ready Microsoft talent

Creating business-ready Microsoft talent to help Kerv Digital deliver more digital transformation projects with a human touch.
Discover how Revolent sourced net-new Microsoft talent or ‘Revols’, based on Kerv’s unique business needs, all while fueling the Microsoft ecosystem with fresh perspectives and innovation.

“The Revols are very, very eager to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds, and therefore they bring a really fresh perspective to Kerv—and this has already been very well-received by our teams and also by our clients.”

About Kerv Digital

Kerv Digital helps its customers create a positive social impact, and build a future through digital transformation with a human touch. As such, Kerv’s transformation projects have a highly unique, collaborative way of working, enabling Kerv to always put usability at the forefront of its digital solutions. However, Kerv has historically struggled to have a ‘grassroots’ movement of employees that would rise people through the ranks. This is where Revolent really came into its own, equipping Kerv with delivery-ready Microsoft talent or ‘Revols’ from a wider range of backgrounds.

Meet the talent

Meet Kyle Boardman, one of the many Revols deployed at Kerv Digital, delivering impactful work with a real passion to learn.

A background in tech and linguistics

Kyle graduated from King’s College, London, with a degree in English Linguistics. Following this, he went into tech sales, working as an Account Manager selling Enterprise Solutions. With a keen passion for linguistics, digital anthropology, and digital transformation, combined with his experience in technical sales, e-commerce, and business strategy, Kyle seemed like the perfect match for Kerv Digital.

When Revolent reached out to Kyle, he decided to join our Microsoft talent program, attracted by the intensity of the training and the prospect of being placed with Kerv—a client that would value his existing skill sets and future work.

Getting Kyle ready to work on-site

Kyle cross-trained as a Functional Consultant, earning 3 Microsoft certifications. During this time, he also completed professional soft skills training (including effective project management techniques, consultant’s communication toolkit, and stakeholder management, among other crucial skills) before being deployed to work on-site at Kerv, ready to make an impact from day one.

Kyle's new role and responsibilities

In his time at Kerv, Kyle has worked on a number of impactful tasks, including a transformation project that involved onboarding Kerv’s company businesses onto a unified CRM platform. He enjoyed shipping the first release to end-users, watching them use the system, and engage with it as designed.

Thanks to his dedication and passion for growth, Kerv has since offered Kyle a full-time position as an Analyst Developer which he has accepted.

The impact

As a business that always puts people and customers first, Kerv Digital strives to create an exceptional workplace while building meaningful client relationships. Therefore, bringing on board enthusiastic employees with the same values is paramount to Kerv’s success.

The Revols deployed at Kerv have all been extremely willing to pick up anything that’s assigned to them, diving deep to deliver exceptional results for Kerv so early on in their careers. This has boosted morale, driving the project team forward.

Thanks to their impressive attitude and willingness to learn, Kerv is convinced that these Revols will continue to exceed their expectations.

“The Revols that we interact with, and certainly the Revols that we brought on-board, are extremely keen to pick up and attack anything that we put in front of them, which is great!”

Tackling the skills gap together with Microsoft

The talent shortage in the Microsoft channel—as well as the wider tech industry—is no secret to organizations that operate within it. Failing to address the skills gap would be detrimental for all of Microsoft’s customers and partners, as they compete for the same talent, impacting everyone’s competitive advantage and skyrocketing costs.

So, when organizations like Kerv Digital, Revolent, and Microsoft come together to address this challenge, there are huge benefits that ripple across the entire ecosystem.

Hear directly from Gina Timm, UK Partner Market Strategy Lead at Microsoft, on what these benefits are.

“Diversity isn’t just a matter of social responsibility—it’s a strategic advantage that can drive success in various aspects of an organization.”

Our commitment to diversity

We make careers in tech accessible to more people from a wider range of backgrounds, by driving more diverse talent into the ecosystem. This in turn helps our customers build better teams and close their digital skills gaps. Find out more.
