About Globant and Women That Build Awards

Globant is a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions. Their annual global initiative Women That Build Awards celebrates exceptional women who are impacting the IT industry by inspiring, building, and leading change to reduce the gender gap in the sector

“We want to narrow the gender gap in IT,” said Martin Migoya, Globant’s CEO and co-founder. “We hope to foster a community of support among women in the tech sector, whether it is by inspiring young girls to study STEM fields, or mothers who are considering returning to, or expanding their professional careers in the industry. With the Women in Tech Awards, we are aiming to support our winners’ voices and work. This is crucial in building a more diverse and inclusive industry. We hope their stories inspire and motivate our global community as well.”

This year’s Women That Build Awards received more than 1,000 nominations from 27 countries and 63 supporting organizations. Fifty nominees were awarded for their outstanding efforts at their Global Gala event on December 10, with Nabila Salem, President of Revolent and Board Member of Tenth Revolution Group, named UK’s Inspiring Executive.

“One of our values is celebrating differences, and that’s exactly what we do,” commented Nabila. “We believe that great minds think differently, and it is indeed our differences that make us stronger as a team, not our similarities. We do not look for a culture fit when we are hiringwe want people to bring innovation, creativity and diversity of thought to the table. That’s why initiatives, such as Globant’s Women That Build Awards are so important to the industry. We need more diverse voices in the IT sector. I’m incredibly honored to have received this award, but every single story of the women who were nominated is incredible and deserves to be told.”

Receiving the Inspiring Executive award is a huge privilege for Nabila and Revolent, since diversity and inclusion have always been at the heart of everything we doWith hubs located in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia, our own employees come from 20 different nationalities, bringing diverse perspectives to their roles.
